The Annapolis Maritime Museum is a community supported effort to connect the richness of the maritime heritage of the Annapolis area with local youth and adults, by hosting meetings, lectures, concerts, and children's activities in a renovated facility right on Back Creek. Now for the first time the Museum also offers for all visitors unequaled views of Annapolis Harbor and the Chesapeake Bay and a lovely peaceful overnight stay for boaters docking directly in front of The Barge House.

The Barge House is also the launching point for the Museum's tours to the iconic Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse -- The Museum campus is the site of the last remaining oyster packing plant in the area, the McNasby's Oyster Packing Company. Since the McNasby building was severely damaged by Hurricane Isabel in 2003, the Museum's Board of Directors, staff and dedicated volunteers have worked to raise funds to restore the building to create the Bay Experience Center -- an interactive facility. The rebuilding efforts created over 300 feet of dockage.

The slips can be booked directly through Horn Point Harbor and offer a special chance to participate in the rich Bay Heritage by supporting the Museum while enjoying the unparalleled view. Slips are available on a nightly or weekly basis
